SOP: Evaluate Entity SEO Fit
Goal
Decide whether a site is a good candidate for entity-based SEO and Entity Clouds-style growth.
Inputs
- Website URL
- Primary products/services
- Current keyword targets
- Existing topical authority/content clusters
- Local/national market scope
- Current rankings and traffic trend
Steps
- Identify the business's core entities: brand, services, locations, people, products, categories.
- Map each entity to existing site pages.
- Check whether Google can clearly connect the brand to its services and categories.
- Look for thin keyword-only pages that lack entity relationships.
- Review whether the site already has supporting content explaining the topic ecosystem.
- Prioritize missing entity pages, schema opportunities, and internal links.
- Decide fit:
- Strong fit: existing SEO foundation, unclear entity/topic relationships.
- Medium fit: newer site, needs foundational pages first.
- Weak fit: no clear offer, poor technical health, or no indexable content.
Output
A short recommendation: Good fit, Needs prep, or Not ready with 3 supporting reasons.
